Terrie McEvoy’s Stunning Ring Collaboration with Lilywho
When it comes to combining elegance with a modern touch, few do it better than Irish celebrity influencer Terrie McEvoy. We were thrilled to collaborate with Terrie on the special project of updating her engagement ring to reflect her evolving style. The result was a really stunning ring that she designed herself, alongside our brand manager Daniele.
Terrie has been a loyal customer and collaborator with Lilywho for several years, organically wearing our pieces and sharing them with her audience. Her journey with us began when she approached Lilywho to design a new engagement ring that would embrace her current style preferences. Terrie’s original ring, set in platinum, was beautiful in its own right. However, as Terrie’s tastes evolved, she found herself drawn to the warmth of gold.
The result of the collaboration was nothing short of spectacular. It was an oval shaped, lab grown diamond, set in 18ct yellow gold. This choice of materials reflects both modern values and timeless elegance. The high end certified lab grown diamond, was ethically sourced and environmentally friendly, and sparkles with exactly the same brilliance as a natural diamond. The only difference being its origin. The 18ct yellow gold setting added a touch of classic luxury.
In a decision that highlights her unique sense of style, Terrie chose to have the entire ring including the claws and basket, crafted completely in gold. This choice was somewhat unconventional, as many opt to set diamonds in white gold with rhodium plating to enhance the stone's brilliance. However, Terrie's preference for an all-gold design has not only set her apart but also sparked a new trend. Increasingly, more and more Lilywho customers are embracing this bold and cohesive look, which beautifully blends modern with classic.
The collaboration journey, which began with exploring various shapes and sizes of diamonds and continued with several CAD drawings, culminated in a memorable day when Terrie, accompanied by her husband David, visited Lilywho's HQ in Co Louth to collect her ring. It was a moment filled with excitement and joy as Terrie saw the final piece in person for the first time.
