Most Lilywho jewellery is made of 925 sterling silver. The pieces are then finished with 18ct gold plating. Plated jewellery must be carefully maintained.
Just like our bodies, jewellery can react to various environmental factors. Reactions with moisture and humid air, carbon dioxide, sulphur in the air, perspiration, perfumes and skin creams or other chemicals may cause the silver to oxidise. Rhodium and gold plating (in both rose and gold colour) can be badly damaged by all of the above.
The Lilywho Jewellery that is 925 sterling silver is then plated, to give it a luxurious finish. Plating will come off with wear.
Lilywho jewellery must also be carefully stored in its original box in a cool, dry place. Failure to do this will result in plated jewellery tarnishing.
The provisions of the 3 month guarantee apply in the event of manufacturing defects only. Please be aware that this guarantee does not cover any damages arising from the following:
- Improper use of the jewellery
- Improper storage of the jewellery
- Wear and tear
- Jewellery which has been cleaned with any sort of cleaning product
- Broken chains
We strongly recommend that you take good care of your Lilywho jewellery. By looking after it, you can extend the life of your jewellery and enjoy it for longer. Lilywho Jewellery cannot be cleaned with any form of cleaning agent or water.
The Lilywho "FINE Jewellery" collection is solid 9ct and 18ct Gold and won't ever fade in colour like plated Jewellelry. Chemicals will make it change colour however as it is solid 9ct or 18ct it can always be cleaned up like new.
Note a lot of our chains and necklaces are delicate. It does not matter if they are made from silver or gold, if they get a pull they can break, so please take care of all your jewellery. Broken necklaces are not covered under the warranty.
